On the first satuday of february, 2014 there will be another national meeting day. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Report from the national meeting day "In His Footsteps" with Pastor Jelle de Kok
The day was held in Amersfoort on February 4, 2012. Several people were unable to make it because of the bad snow and frost conditions.
The trip in the car to get there was beautiful because of the sunshine on the frosted trees and meadows.
After we arrived we were welcomed with a warm cup of coffee or tea and a piece of cake. After some wonderful singing Pastor de Kok spoke on John 13 through 17. These are deep chapters and lots of material to teach us about discipleship and leadership. After his teaching we broke up in small groups and discussed the implication of this teaching for our lives.
There were 2 ladies who were in the train that morning leaving from Maastricht at 6:15 a.m. They told us about their international CBSI group in Maastricht and blessed us with a special song that was given to us on a bookmark called "Speak oh Lord" by Keith Getty. That song is perfect for CBSI biblestudy groups and available to listen to on youtube.
In the afternoon there were several workshops available ranging from "Servant Leadership" to "Prayer" to "Creative teaching" to "Fruit bearing and pruning". They all related to John 13 through 17.
It was wonderful to meet other CBSI participants and be encouraged by each other's presence. The closing song was "Togehter in the name of Jesus" and we spontaneously held hands in a large circle showing that discipleship making is a task we do together to the glory of God.
